July 31, 2020Hailing from Uttarkashi, Vipin Singh Bisht and his family were reeling under poverty-stricken life. Despite the hardships he used to face every day, Vipin was still keeping alive his dreams of joining the Indian army.
He came to know that Youth Foundation is conducting an induction camp, to enroll underprivileged boys for free pre recruitment training program, near his village. And vouching this golden opportunity to realize his aspirations for serving the nation by wearing the olive green, Vipin Singh came for military recruitment training at Youth Foundation Camp in 2013.
After clearing the physical and medical tests, he was enrolled for Youth Foundation’s Kilo Camp.
Watching closely the hard work Vipin was putting in to become a soldier, the instructors too believed that one day he is going to bring about the change to his life filled with hassles. After four months of hard-core pre-military training infused with fundamentals of Indian army ethics and principles, Vipin cleared the Garhwal rifles recruitment and presently posted at one of the battalions of the regiment as our forces are guarding the nation.
Vipin, not only brought the sheer proud to his family, his instructors and Youth Foundation but Uttarakhand too. He uplifted the status of his family from impoverishment to above poverty line.
