April 15, 2020A native of Handola Village in Vikasnagar district, Nitin Chauhan is the youngest among seven siblings of his family. Nitin’s Farmer was a local trader and after his death, the whole family slipped into harsh times.
Chauhan’s elder brother now had to take the responsibility of raising 6 younger siblings including him. His elder brother always had a wish that his younger brother should serve the country by joining the Indian Army. And to accomplish his brother’s wish, Nitin underwent tough preparation to clear the recruitment.
Due to lack of organized training, he failed in physical screening several times.
He had almost given up on his hopes of wearing the uniform.
One day, to his surprise, Nitin came to know that Youth Foundation is inducting young boys near his village for a free army pre-recruitment training course for an upcoming Garhwal Rifles Bharti. He cleared Youth Foundation’s screening and worked hard as guided by the instructors of Everest Camp, who are veterans of the Indian Army.
A three-month disciplined training course with free accommodation and nutritious food improved endurance and physical abilities of Nitin, which made him to clear the Garhwal Rifles Recruitment. Today he is proudly guarding our nation with The Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (EME) of the Indian Army – Watch: His journey
